Overview
Nikrans LCD-GDW-Boats is a universal marine phone signal repeater which boosts weak GSM / 2G, 3G signals as well as poor 4G connection. The multifunctional character of the device is due to three operational frequencies GSM 900 MHz for calls and 2G Internet, DCS 1800 MHz for calls and 4G LTE Internet and WCDMA 2100 MHz for 3G Internet. As you can guess, thanks to simultaneous support of the mentioned frequency rates the booster is compatible with a wide range of operators. Another advantage of the amplifier is that it is able to boost signal for an unlimited number of users simultaneously. One inside antenna which is included in the standard set up kit can boost signal in boats and yachts on the area up to 5000 ft² (500 m²). In case this coverage is not sufficient for you, there is a possibility to install up to 4 inside antennas in order to enlarge the coverage area. An omnidirectional outside antenna is able to catch signals in different directions 360° degrees around the boat at a distance up to 40 km.
The main functions of the triband boat amplifier include:
- LCD display. The device has three displays – one for each working frequency. These displays provide information about the set up process, system errors, signal level, etc.
- Sleep mode. Sleep mode is activated when you don’t use the device. This function helps to save energy when you don’t need the amplifier. As soon as your mobile device starts looking for an improved signal the booster begins to work again.
- The installation kit contains two power supplies (12V and 220V), which means that you will be able to choose the one that best corresponds to your needs.
- Auto gain and signal control. The device makes it possible for the system to change the operational characteristics depending on the signal Make your life easier and more comfortable regardless of your location!

How it works
LCD-GDW-Boats is absolutely an amazing solution to deal with poor mobile signal while sailing. Its powerful external antenna can catch the signal transmitted by your provider’s station situated even in 40 kilometers in any direction (so, no aiming of your antenna is required). This booster can cover up to 5000 ft² (500 m²) indoor boat area, nevertheless, if you have a huge ship with a number of rooms you can always order additional antennas to send amplified signal to mobile devices. What is more, for your convenience we will send you two power supplies (12V and 220V) with your order. But if something extra (like additional antennas or longer cables to connect components of your booster) is needed, it is possible to purchase them. Significant improvement
The internet speed before I switched on this booster was almost two times slower than after I switched it on. I have no problems with cell phone signal as well. This device is very compact and does not have many inconvenient wires, but does its job nicely. Trying to get a signal while on the boat is always complicated, but the booster made it much easier and I don’t think I struggled with the signal ever since I got it.

For all UK operators
The model's indoor coverage isn't very large, about 500m2, but it supports three bands and it's compatible with all UK networks. I've connected three additional antennas and the connection is stable enough to make calls and surf the mobile internet. This is just what I need for the yacht which I rent out.

Improves slow Internet
The booster betters voice connection at sea and it improves slow 4G and 3G significantly. I can watch movies and make video calls when I’m offshore. The internet connection is so speedy now that it’s even possible to play videogames online.

Suitable for medium-sized boats
The set included one indoor antenna but the supplier stated that it was possible to add up to 4 inside antennas to diffuse the improved signal more efficiently. But we didn’t add any, as it was sufficient for us. My husband installed the booster himself. It was easy to do, even easier than to install a home booster, as the external antenna of the marine booster is omnidirectional, so he didn’t have to direct the antenna in the coastline position, as it immediately caught signal in 360° degrees around the ship. I recommend it!

Excellent booster
I’m satisfied with the result. The booster works well, without interruptions. The installation was simple and not time consuming. My husband set up the booster himself guided by the instructions provided in the manual. What is more, the booster has three LCD displays, which provide installation tips and show error solutions. The whole process of installation took less than an hour. As soon as everything was ready, we turned the amplifier on and the signal got to the maximum. Contained only one power supply
Although the description of the kit says that it includes two power supplies, I received my booster with only one 12V adaptor. Fortunately, they sent me the 220V adaptor when I asked for it.

Excellent connection

Has Pluses & Minuses
Well, what I do like about the model is that it has a very powerful omnidirectional outside antenna, so you don’t have to direct it to the coastline. I also like the LCD screens which display working parameters and installation tips. The device automatically goes into sleep mode when you don’t need it, and it’s undoubtedly a great plus for energy saving. What I don’t like is the small coverage area – 500 m2. I wish it were at least 700-800 m2. I also think that the price is a little high for this model.

Great solution
When I was in the sea I suffered from constant signal losses. Actually, signal problems weren’t new to me. Effective and compact

Great when you are offshore
I have been using the repeater for a few months and have noticed no drawbacks yet. Small indoor coverage
The indoor coverage is only 500 m2, and it’s too small for my yacht. I think that’s better to take LCD-GD-Boats which covers twice larger territory. Perhaps, I’ll change it.

My Offshore Rescue
This is one of the most effective marine boosters I’ve ever used. I often was in such a situation, when I was offshore and I had no opportunity to contact someone urgently.
