Wireless Dual Band Mobile Signal Booster Nikrans NS-500GW

Although everyone says that the booster is easy to install, for me the installation was a real quiz. First, my husband mounted the outdoor antenna outside the window and we see no result. Then we called the support team and they explained that the device would improve coverage only on condition that it catches an adequate signal from the nearest base station. So when my husband changed the located of the outdoor antenna and put it on the roof, it picked up signal and we got improved coverage.

I needed to improve a poor mobile signal at the cafe. And when I was surfing the net, I came across these boosters. Having studied the question, I decided to order one. I’ve chosen the NS-550GDW model as it suits the size of my place (600m2) and it supports the frequencies I needed to improve - 900 MHz and 2100 MHz. The only thing I’d like to draw your attention to is that the length of the cable which is needed for the indoor antenna is very short. So it’s a good idea to customize your order and to increase the length of the indoor cable.

I’m so happy about my new booster! I bought it to replace the older model I had. NS500 GW has the same working frequencies as my previous amplifier – 900 Mhz and 2100 Mhz. the installation hardly took half an hour, as my husband is a real professional in this field and it’s not our first booster. Nevertheless, I think that even a newbie can set up this repeater without any difficulties.

I see no reason not to buy it! It’s compact and lightweight, effective both for calls and mobile internet and easy to install. Doesn’t consume much energy thanks to energy-saving mode and suits for all UK operators. Perhaps the price is a bit high, but I took it on sale, so for me it was okay.

Everything was in order, except for the fact that the cable in the standard set turned out to be too short for me. I had to replace it with a longer one.

I bought this booster for my parent’s village house to amplify the cellular signal, the distance to the base station is about 20 km. Without amplification, the old push-button telephone had an unstable connection, in certain places from 1-2 antenna divisions, modern smartphones didn’t work at all. After installing the amplifier both the push-button telephone and the smartphone showed 5 antenna divisions, the connection is excellent.

If you are waiting for something extraordinary from this device, you are most likely to be disappointed. There isn’t anything special about it. It’s just a simple booster, which improves GSM and 3G. It’s not suitable for 4G amplification. The indoor coverage is up to 450 m2, so you can’t use it inside large premises. There are only two working frequencies – 900 MHz and 2100 MHz. So, in my opinion, it’s better to pay more and to choose a tri-band booster.
