Doesn’t improve voice connection

Be attentive! This model doesn’t work with GSM. It improves only 3G. I believe, it’s better to choose the model, which amplifies both GSM and mobile internet.

Good for a village

Believe it or not, but after I had bought this booster, all my neighbours did the same. We live in the village with poor mobile coverage and with this amplifier the quality of voice connection is much better, although not perfect.

Great device

This device is just what I have been looking for. I like it very much. It has LCD screen which simplifies the installation and makes the usage very convenient. I recommend this device to everyone who is in search of ways to improve poor mobile signal. I bought it for my underground café. It’s not large, about 400 m2. Good marine booster

I installed it on my yacht. In general, I’m satisfied with the result. The technical characteristics are not bad. The booster has a huge indoor coverage – 13 000 ft2. It supports two frequencies - GSM 900 MHz and DCS 1800 MHz, so it amplifies GSM and 4G at a time. I think that it even can improve 3G at 900 MHz and LTE at 1800 MHz, although I don’t use it for this purpose.

Significant improvement

The internet speed before I switched on this booster was almost two times slower than after I switched it on. I have no problems with cell phone signal as well. This device is very compact and does not have many inconvenient wires, but does its job nicely. Trying to get a signal while on the boat is always complicated, but the booster made it much easier and I don’t think I struggled with the signal ever since I got it.

A very low-maintenance item

This booster doesn’t need any maintenance or tuning, because it works automatically, and it’s great. We just put it together, placed it (and a couple of extra antennas that we bought separately) in the most logical place – and it’s just there, doing its job. We don’t need any extra technicians, and our own technician doesn’t even have to do more work. Aside from that, the booster amplifies the signal quite well, and we haven’t faced any major signal blackouts since we installed it.

Cheap and Effective

We have this booster at our office. Before the booster it was impossible to lead any negotiations with partners on the phone, as there hardly was a place at the office with a stable GSM signal. Not Bad

I’d like to share my opinion about Nikrans LCD-500GD signal amplifier. Its not bad in general, although there are some drawbacks. As for the level of signal - it has become much better with the amplifier, I can make and receive calls without any problems. But one thing is still missing - I mean the support of 2100 MHz frequency. The device works at 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequencies, which are more often used by the operators to transmit gsm signal. So if you need to improve mobile internet its better to choose another model.

This model is one of the most powerful booster models. It has a number of advanced features. It can automatically adjust the gain level and at the same time it has the function of manual gain control for those, who would like to change the gain by themselves, although personally I don’t use this function at all. During the period when I’ve been using the booster I have never experienced signal interference or any other problems.

Great coverage now!

Purchased this device because we have an office in a metal building with a metal roof. We had zero cell service in the building. This came today and we immediately installed it. Works well

Well I did a bunch of research and read a bunch of reviews. That really helped. I live in rural Sheffield. I didn’t want to switch carriers. So I am on Vodafone, and I simply installed the outdoor antenna in the attic of the house, close to the bottom side of the roof. I have a 2 storey house, so in general the antenna is high off the ground.Then I installed the indoor antenna on the 1st floor close to the ceiling. Now I have pretty decent signal in the house.Overall, I had basically 1-2 bars outside. Inside was like 0-1 bar. After installing this unit I now have 4-5 bars in the house. So it does work, and it seems to be working well. You just need to find the best location for signal to boost and repeat.Distance is the key to the unit working properly. Distance from the antennae is crucial.

Useful device

If you want to buy this model, pay attention to the frequencies first, and make sure that you know the exact frequencies that your operator works on. This device is really great and it amplifies the signal very significantly, I now have signal where I previously couldn’t catch it at all. Good product

I’m satisfied with the product. The voice connection is stable now, there are no disconnections. I never miss calls any more. Is it effective for the mobile internet? Yes it is! It's suitable for crowded places

I'm the manager in a bank branch and this model has been recently installed in my branch because the 3g Internet or stable cell-calls were impossible due to the bank's location which was a great issue for both customers and my employees. Functional

The booster deals with poor mobile coverage rather well. If 4G is very weak in your area, the booster will undoubtedly improve it. If you have no 4G, it will be more difficult to do for the device. I live in a village, where there is practically no 4G/LTE connection. Nevertheless, the repeater enhances 4G and I can use mobile internet. As for the GSM signal, it’s very good now, although there used to be some signal issues previously.

Amplified my signal

I actually added lightning protection to my order, because I live near the forest and the climate here is rainy, but, thankfully, never had the chance to test it out yet. Let it be there just in case. But other than that – the booster is fine, and it amplifies my signal rather well despite the location and the trees around. I like it really much and recommend it to those who live in faraway areas like I do.

Effective

This is one of the best marine boosters I’ve ever used. I had a lot of them, but this one is the most effective and it has a huge coverage area – about 2500 m2. So the working principle is the same as in home boosters, the main difference is only in the antennas. The outdoor antenna in the marine repeater is omnidirectional, so it catches signal in 360 degrees around and it’s great. The maximum distance from the shore should be no more than 40 km.

A low-maintenance device

I always love it when I don’t have to buy any extra details, wires or antennas, because online stores tend to not mention such things. But this one worked out perfectly, and I never have to adjust anything when it works. Though upon installation you have to find a really good place for the outdoor antenna could nicely catch the signal. I had to change the position of mine twice.

No more network problems

If you constantly suffer from signal problems and poor reception, this thing is what you need. My operator is EE so the device effectively boost signal and ensures stable internet connection. I have been using it since last year and I have had no signal issues since then. If previously I got nervous whenever I made or received a call - now I get 100% satisfaction from using my smartphone. Nice model

If you need it, it will do the job

I live in a rural area. Before the booster I had pretty good service in my driveway, but the service in the house would be more like 0-2 bars. This device gave me 3 bars in the house and reliable LTE. It does what it says. But it is a pricey device. I never had dropped calls in the house, even with only 1 bar. Since I have good wi-fi and my provider allows me to make calls, I don't actually need this device. The improvement isn’t sufficient enough to justify the cost. For somebody in a different situation, this could be quite useful.

Okay for 900 Mhz

I recommend you to install a special smartphone application and to check the working frequencies of your operator and the level of existing signal in advance. In particular, check the quality of the network at the place where you plan to mount the external antenna. I took the booster to amplify 900 Mhz frequency in the cafe. It’s located in the basement in the city center, and the reception is very poor inside the building. Although I didn’t expect it, the connection became better with the booster.

Great thing

Convenient and compact

The booster performs its main function well. This is the best solution for our small house. It’s easy to install, compact and so convenient. Perfect for village

Proved to be excellent in operation. We have mobile signal even in the rooms where the reception was zero. Works stably, with no interference. The higher I placed the antenna, the better the signal became. The booster is so powerful that it manages to catch reception at a distance of 12 km from the house.

Doesn't work with FreedomPop

When I had installed the booster, I realized that it didn't work. I mean it didn't amplify the connection for my operator. I'm using FreedomPop. Then I called the support team and it turned out that this model isn't compatible with my provider. However, the company has a 30-day return policy and I managed to change this model for the one that suited me.
